As Guillaume Cabanac notes on PubPeer, the specified cutoff of September 2021, while common for ChatGPT, is inconsistent with a statement earlier in the article that the literature search began in January 2023.
On December 19, 2024, a correction was published, acknowledging the use of generative AI.2 The text quoted above was amended to:

A declaration of AI usage was also added to the acknowledgements section.
