Certainly, here are some areas for future research regarding eggplant peel anthocyanins, with a focus on optimization of encapsulation techniques and exploring novel food applications.1

This article was flagged by Guillaume Cabanac on PubPeer. One author replied, admitting to the use of ChatGPT but denying the need for declaration since the usage was for “minimal purposes.” No such exception exists in the journal’s author guidelines.

A correction was published on July 1, 2024, in which the authors admitted to “using a generative AI-powered tool to improve the language and readability of their paper without disclosing it”.2 The corrigendum states:

The article has been amended to include a declaration statement which reflects how generative-AI was used to support the editing of this paper.

No such declaration has been added to the article itself, either in the HTML or the PDF. The declaration exists only within the corrigendum.
