It’s important to note that the choice of method depends on factors such as the specific antibiotics present, the wastewater composition, treatment goals, operational costs, and regulatory considerations. Often, a combination of multiple treatment methods might be necessary to achieve comprehensive antibiotic removal from wastewater (Table 1).1
